MISSION

"Turn Trash into Treasure, Recycling Children's Books" strives to bring a variety of English books to people in areas who do not have access to these books. Specifically, this project caters towards Aborigine and Hakka in the remote areas of Taiwan. The volunteers' goal is to recycle English books, and create a global village, paying back what Taiwan has given to us. "I love Taiwan, Taiwan Go! Go! Go!"

Large Shipments are generous donations containing thousands of books towards the beginning of an English library or an English section of the library.

"Mixed Vegetable Noodle" shipments contain 30 to 60 books and target elementary schools in the remote or mountain areas who do not have any budget for English books. The goal of these shipments are to open the world to the children who have never touched real English books.

"Extended Book Project Programs." We offer cultural events to American libraries to pay back what they have given to us. In 2006, we hosted 3 cultural programs, which included Reading Taiwanese Stories in Morris County Library (Feb. 2006), constructing a window display at Madison Library (Sept. 2006), and hosting Taiwan Day at Madison Library (Oct. 2006).
